I thought I should probably update what has been going on here lately. First of all, my dad came and visited us for a few days when we got back from our vacation in May. He was the first family to come visit, and it was really fun! I feel bad that I completely spaced taking pictures with him, so I'll just have to write about it. We took him to Boston for a day and we played at the beach, ate some good clam chowder and lobster, and visited the oldest lighthouse in the Nation. Then we took him to New York City and went on top of the Empire State building and visited Ground Zero both for the first time. Then he took us to Korea Town there and showed us which Korean food is good to order (SO yummy), and we went through Times Square for a while, it was a great day! Then we made Dowse chocolate chip cookies and sang and played the piano for a while (traditions :) ) I'm so glad he came and visited, we had a blast!
Then, at the end of July we had more family come and visit! Taylor's brother Jason and his wife Becky and their kids Joshua and Breanna came and visited for a few days, it was really fun! We hadn't seen them for over three years, it was really good to catch up. And once again, I didn't take pictures of our time with them, what is my deal? Anyway, we had a great time in New York City as well, we road the Stanton Island ferry to see the Statue of Liberty, we went into the Hershey's store, the M & M's store, the Nintendo store, and the LEGO's store. They were awesome, as were other things around Times Square that we saw. We ate at China Town and it was very good as well! We went to the beach for a while and had fun there. It was sad to see them go, Caden really bonded himself to Joshua. Joshua is 12 and Caden wanted to be just like him. When Joshua walked with his hands in his pockets, Caden had to do it too, it was pretty sweet. We are glad they came and visited us!
Taylor has been doing really well this semester, and tomorrow is his last day of his second semester! He's been a little busier this semester as he's started doing clinical rotations, and next semester he will be even busier, he said that he will start DOING epidurals by himself for the first time! That starts in less than 2 weeks. And he will have evening classes after he gets home from clinicals, which means there will be less available time for him to study. It's getting quite intense. But I'm so proud of him and how he's handled everything, he is such a good student, it might be stressful, but he will do well.
Here are some updated pictures of the kiddos!
